On Thurs 7 May, Cuculi presents GANNA at To The Moon in her first ever Bristol gig. An astonishing vocalist, composer & producer from Ukraine, GANNA combines the authenticity and tradition of Ukrainian singing with modern composition, improvisation, and electronic music, delivering all with a magnetic stage presence. Respected local artist boci will open the night with an atmospheric solo set of songs built from looped string & vocal textures.

On Saturday 6 June, Cuculi presents Ana Silvera & Saied Silbak at Circomedia, with support from t l k sharing a new solo/ambient set
Acclaimed British singer and multi-instrumentalist Ana Silvera and Palestinian composer, Oud virtuoso and singer Saied Silbak join creative forces for Songs We Carry, a new collaboration exploring the common ground between their heritages – the emotive, melancholy of Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) music and the rich Maqams and intricate melodies of Arabic song.
Ana and Saied will also lead an interactive pre-gig workshop which explores the ways Sephardi Jewish and Arabic musical traditions have influenced and spoken to one another across history. Between the workshop & performance, we’re inviting everyone to come and eat a delicious meal together!

SHRUB is a wildly original alt-pop quintet from Sheffield & Bristol, with lush vocal harmonies underscored by jangly electric guitar, hazy synths, gleeful sax and infectious drum grooves. Their songs take the listener on a tour of unpredictable topics, from the vastness of post-apocalyptic galaxies to the profound comfort of a fruit bowl bursting with colour. This is one of their first shows outside Sheffield, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to Bristol.
Local alt-pop duo Kai & Hollis will open the night, bringing us their usual cocktail of pithy, tender, cynical songs describing the human experience as they see it.
